Rockport Square's Bill Sanderson Honored with Presidential Hammer Award

Lakewood, Ohio — Bill Sanderson, project manager at Rockport Square and vice president of joint ventures Forest City Land Group, was honored with The Presidential Hammer Award from the Home Builders Association of Greater Cleveland. The award was presented to Sanderson at the 67th Annual Awards & Installation banquet, which was held Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Ritz Carlton in Cleveland.

"Bill is always available to offer perspective, history, and a clear and unambiguous opinion," said David Payne, president of the HBA of Greater Cleveland. "Bill has a passion for this industry, and this association, and his passion and commitment have, in my opinion, made a major impact on this association as I've been involved."

"I'm honored to receive this recognition and I look forward to continuing to serve the building industry and the HBA to the best of my ability," said Sanderson.

The Presidential Hammer Award is presented to the member of the HBA of Greater Cleveland who has contributed greatly to the building industry throughout their career. In addition to the Presidential Hammer Award, Sanderson also served as president of the HBA of Greater Cleveland in 2004 and holds the title of Graduate Master Builder (Home Builder's Institute, NAHB), one of only two people with that distinction in the state of Ohio.
